Donald Trump spoke to a gathering of Orthodox Jews at his golf club in New Jersey.
At Trump's Bedminster golf club, the former president spoke at an event hosted by the Israel Heritage Foundation, an Israel advocacy non-profit formerly known as Ayshel Avraham. Trump said, “Let me put it this way, If we don’t win, Israel is in big trouble.” The group’s executive director Rabbi David Katz presented Trump with a Torah crown in gratitude for “his administration’s efforts to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and for recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.”

Brooklyn Borough President meets with Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition.
Boro President Antonio Reynoso sat down with the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition (FJCC), headed by activist Josh Mehlman whom Mayor Eric Adams once called a “difference maker” in his election. The organization, which counts prominent community philanthropists Avi Schron and Hashi Hertzka among its board members, discussed rising anti-semitism, small business, quality of life, crime, and sanitation concerns.

On Shabbos morning a Chabad man was stabbed by two assailants, in what a Chabad spokesperson described as a “seemingly antisemitic” attack.
He was treated by Hatzalah and after a brief hospitalization has since returned home. The incident is being treated and investigated as a possible hate crime. A spokesperson for Chabad, said he spoke with the victim, who told him that the attack was carried out by two attackers who stabbed him with what appeared to be a screwdriver after asking him if he was Jewish. The ADL of NY and NJ tweeted that they would be “reaching out to law enforcement and community partners” about the attack.

Monsey’s volunteer fire department to be featured in documentary.

The Monsey volunteer fire department includes many Orthodox Jews, and is recruiting more to make the force’s demographics more representative of the local community. The department, along with five other volunteer firefighter departments, will be featured in an upcoming documentary called “Odd Hours, No Pay, Cool Hat.

Rape trial for Brooklyn Shomrim founder is set to begin later this month.
Jacob Daskal is charged with federal coercion and enticement, as well as transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. Initially charged with rape by the Brooklyn district attorney’s office, those charges were dropped in 2021 when federal prosecutors took over the case. Jury selection begins on July 17th. 

NY Satmar Rebbe Zalman Teitelbaum’s son and son-in-law were critically injured in a car accident last Thursday.
In Sullivan County, on State Route 55, Satmar Rebbe Zalman Teitelbaum’s son and son-in-law were reportedly injured in a car collision. Four other people were also injured in the crash and the driver, Moses Ackerman, is expected to be ticketed for making an illegal U-turn. A Yiddish-language Kiryas Joel newspaper, Vochenshrift, reported that the following morning, prayers took place in all their institutions, including yeshivas all over the world, and later that day both injured made progress in their recovery.
